Is The Vet Prescribed Food Harming Your Dog?

A vet prescribed diet might actually be harming your pup. We see it time and time again. Carb-filled food your dog does not need.

Your dog metabolises lean protein and fat in order to function, and makes their own glucose by a process called gluconeogenesis. So why is the prescribed food full or unnecessary carbs?

Read Your Labels 👏🏼👏🏼

Say it louder for the people in the back...Don't take it from us, manufacturers cannot lie on the ingredients list.

We cannot emphasise the importance of reading labels and getting to know what is in the food you are feeding. You don't need years of studying to instantly see red flags. A packet can have all the great marketing it wants on the front, but the real information you need is in the ingredient list.

It is important to look for as much clarity in the ingredients as possible.

Is a grain the first ingredient?🚩
Is the meat content low?🚩
Are ingredients listed generally?🚩
(Eg. Animal fats - which ones?!)🚩🚩
Does it contain "meat derivatives" - your guess is as good as ours as to what this actually is... 🚩🚩🚩🚩

Why not pop into store and have a chat with us about what is actually in your pup's food?
